Be Part Of the Story:
Restoring the Pioneer River
The Pioneer River is the heart of our region — a place for fishing, picnics, reflection, and connection. But its banks and habitats need care. By supporting PCL’s restoration work, you are helping re-establish native vegetation, protect wildlife, stabilise riverbanks, and ensure this iconic waterway remains healthy for generations to come.
Your contribution creates lasting change right here at home.

Restoring Our Mackay Highlands
High in the misty ranges of Eungella, Crediton, the Clarke Connors Ranges and Homevale National Park lies one of Australia’s most remarkable wildlife refuges. But decades of grazing pressure, habitat loss, feral predators and old fencing have left these landscapes fragmented and vulnerable.
These Highlands are home to some of Australia’s most endangered and critically endangered species — including the Central Greater Glider, Squatter Pigeon, Ghost Bat, Northern Gastric Brooding Frog and Grey-headed Flying Fox.
Your donation supports practical, on-ground restoration: removing old barbed-wire fencing, revegetating degraded areas, restoring habitat structure, monitoring threatened species, and humane feral predator control.
With your support, we can protect these ancient forests and the unique wildlife that depend on them.
